Things you do for fashion is nothing compared to things you need to do to capture a stunning fashion photograph.

Black saree with the backdrop of white, snow covered mountain - that is dramatic.

Sleeveless blouse in a cold place where everybody else is wearing northstar jackets, makes you pause for an extra second to look at the picture and if that happens, then the model and the photo crew have done their job!

I hate the saree; these two color combos look really awful at times. But I like the fashion photo composition.

The uneven blue of the couch, the English fainting couch that seems to have been spray painted, textured wall paper; all of that adds certain depth to the photo.

A good advertisement should evoke a dream; it has to go far beyond the “product” being sold.

Is this a saree? I don’t think so but it could have been! Gorgeous composition

Absolutely great composition for a fashion photography.

I regret that in saree trade we don’t use more of a creative way of displaying the sarees; its always the same old same old, woman wearing a ton of jewelry, with perfect pleats and fake smile on her face.

I have seen some interesting compositions but not enough.

In advertisement, sometimes you need to show the details of the design, and other times you need to show the dream of the design.

Saree + gold jewelry advertisement

In most of the major south Indian cities, the saree vendors and the jewelers have combined forces to make the advertisements. That means that they only have to hire one model and one photographer and get the best of saree and jewelry ads; great idea - except that some time you end up with pictures like this!

Here are the different types of jewelry that she is wearing, and considering the price of gold these days, she has more jewlry then the GDP of many small countries!

Brinda Parekh in a blue black saree

Hard to tell; the saree is not dark black but seems to have hues of blue.

The net sleeves of the blouse is notable but not terribly interesting.
